The Orakei Yacht Club is a small but enthusiastic club racing the Electron Radio Controlled yacht. While we do have fun during our club days, we have a serious factor, having New Zealand representatives and International yachtsmen in our membership. These members are always willing to help and advise other members, new and prospective members of the club.
While having a lot of fun sailing week to week, we also have several competitive events during the year, and a number of social events.
New members are welcome and encouraged.

The OYC races the ELECTRON Radio Controlled Yacht, designed and built by Des Townson.
The Electron is the most authentic ONE DESIGN r/c model yacht in the world.
The OYC encourages new members to join our small but dedicated group, for friendly while competitive yacht racing.
